why marketing?

My passion for marketing started back in my freshman year of high school when I took a Fashion Marketing class. I’ve always loved fashion as one of my favorite activities growing up was going to the mall with my mom. That class sparked something in me, and I ended up taking more marketing courses throughout high school because I genuinely enjoyed them.

Social media has also been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. I grew up watching YouTube and looking up to my favorite beauty influencers, dreaming that one day I could be like them. I was the kid who would prop up an iPad and film videos of myself just for fun. That was the beginning of my love for content creation and digital storytelling, a passion that’s stuck with me ever since.

Going into college, I decided to major in Marketing, even though I wasn’t exactly sure what career path I wanted to take. I quickly realized how broad the field is and how many different directions I could go. But no matter what, I always found myself drawn back to social media. As an active user, I naturally keep up with trends and love seeing how brands show up online. That’s what led me to choose a concentration in Digital Marketing, where I’ve gained experience in social media strategy, paid media, SEO, and more.
